Meet Abbie
Abbie is a Clinical Psychologist and has experience working with children, adolescents and adults with a range of mental health needs. Abbie has experience working with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, learning and attention difficulties, autism, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidality, trauma, substance use, gender identity and functional neurological symptom disorder in community, school and hospital-based settings.
Abbie has extensive experience implementing evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema therapy, emotion-focused therapy and has experience with psychological diagnostic assessments.
Abbie recognises the importance of having a safe, collaborative space which is non-judgemental. Having the right space and fit with your psychologist is a very important factor to consider when thinking about your needs.
Abbie completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Newcastle and continues to engage in regular professional development, sharing a particular interest in trauma-informed care.
